Below mentioned forms/checklist are mandatory for all visa categories accepted by BLS

Going to Germany? Follow the steps below to apply for a visa:

 

Step 1 - Verify which visa category you need to apply for

Step 2 – Prepare your visa application

Please fill the schengen , national Videx application form and arrange your documents as per checklist.

Step 3 – Submit your visa application

You can submit your visa application (Schengen visa and National visa) at BLS Visa Application Centre with prior appointment.

    For applicants under 18:

  • birth certificate or proof of guardianship
  • recent letter from school, signed
  • passports of all guardians and Irish residence permit

    For minors travelling alone or with only one parent:

  • written consent to the intended journey, signed by all guardians and certified by notary public or Garda

For applications of minors (under 18), at least one parent must be present when the application is made.


Due to local specificities, the handling and processing of applications may vary slightly among the German Missions involved. Your application will not be accepted if the appointment is made under the incorrect jurisdiction.

Step 4 – Biometrics enrolment

You would be required to give biometrics at the time of submission of your application in the BLS visa application centre.

Following are exempted from giving biometrics:

  • Children below the age of 12 years

  • If biometrics have been given in last 59 months

  • If you have temporary injuries on your finger, you are advised to wait until your injuries have been healed

Step 5 – Payment of fees

You would be required to make the payment of visa fee, service fee (if not already paid at the time of appointment scheduling) & fee for optional service(s) if availed at the time of submission.

Visa fees can be paid in cash or by credit card.

Step 6 – Status tracking of your application

Your application will be sent to the competent authorities for decision making. The status of the application can be tracked through our website or you can avail SMS service. You will receive SMS alerts on the registered mobile number.

Step 7 – Collection of your passport

You can collect your passport from BLS visa application centre where the application was submitted or opt for courier at the time of submission for delivery of your passport at your desired address.

If you wish to collect your passport from the BLS Visa Application Centre, please bring the following documents:

  • Original receipt

  • Passport photocopy

  • In case of travel agent or representative, authorization letter from the customer

  • ID proof of the representative or travel agent
